This delicious low carb rich and creamy homemade protein ice cream is secretly healthy that will be your new favorite healthy treat to make for dessert. With 25 grams of protein, 6 grams of net carbs and only 1 gms of fat, this easy ice cream recipe tastes exactly like regular ice cream! (Feel free and substitute any flavor protein powder you like for this recipe). Macros are approximate as per 133gm serving size.
120 Gms (4 rounded scoops) Ketogenics Zero Carb Hazelnut Ice Cream protein powder
(1) 32oz container of 0% Greek Yogurt
1 can (32oz) Carnation Fat Free Evaporated Milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 gms salt
3.2 gms Xanthan gum
56 gms Xylitol sweetener (can also subsitute allulose or erythritol)
Mix everything in a large blender.
Pour into storage container of choice. Freeze for at least 3 hours. Take out and enjoy.
For lower carbs, substitute the evaporated milk and/or Greek yogurt with higher fat/low carb alternatives.
