The Protein Sparing Modified Fast (PSMF) diet is quite possibly the most effective and rapid fat loss protocol around. It has been around for decades as well as there is a medically supervised version run by the Cleveland Clinic. The protein-sparing modified fast (PSMF) is a rigorous way of rapidly losing a large amount of weight but most people these days are following the very popular and quite honestly the most effective version of the PSMF diet known as the Rapid Fat Loss Protocol (RFL). Protein Sparing Modified Fasting Bread Recipe
The original PSMF Bread Recipe called "Doughtein" had been around since the 1990s. A very simple recipe that produces a bread or base for all sorts of recipes. Doughtein can be made as a bread, pizza crust, rolls, muffin etc. Various low carb dieters have renamed the recipe to match up with the diet of the same name. The Protein Sparing Modified Fasting Bread recipe uses the original Doughtein Bread Recipe with some tweaks to produce...um... bread! :).
Unfortunately most of the Protein Sparing Modified Fasting Bread recipes on the web have a odd texture and often eggy taste that most people do not enjoy. The bread doesn't seem to rise very well either. These problems are usually result of using the inferior egg white protein powder in the recipe.
After decades of creating low carb recipes, we find that whey protein or even a whey/casein blend is the absolute perfect protein powder for making low carb, keto friendly bread. Our Ketogenics version of this bread recipe is the best low carb bread recipe that tastes as good as the typical store brought Wonder Bread, whole wheat, store brand etc bread. It is truly amazing for the macros and ingredients!
